Product Description
What is an Arc Fault?
An arc-fault occurs when loose or corroded connections make intermittent contact and causes sparking or arcing between the connections. This translates into heat, which will break down the insulations of the wire and potentially trigger an electrical fire. Such arc's can range in power and vary a great deal in strength and duration.
1.AFCI 1- pole fit electrical fire alarm system branch (16-32A rated current).2.Communication with 2.4 RF or CAN bus network.
3.Large LCD display, the fault memory function.
4.Buzzer alarm and power off function.
5.Meet 3C/UL1699/IEC62606 standard.
6.Protection function include short circuit, over current, leakage, arc fault, over voltage.
AFDD Recommended as a means of providing additional protection against fire Our AFDD protects against:
- Over Current
- Earth Leakage
- Short Circuit
- Arc Fault
The cause of the fault arc:
1.Aging and damage of wire leads to arc.
2.The wire connector produces an arc
A.The insulation layer is affected by high temperature, humidity or corrosion.
B.The power supply overvoltage causes the wire insulation to be broken.
C.Improper installation and loose connection of wire.
D.There are impurities at the connection of the wire, such as oxide, dirt, oil, etc.
3.The fault of electrical appliances forms a fault arc
A.Electric appliances are aging seriously beyond the service life
B.The dust and sundries inside the electric appliance, the insulation performance reduces, causing the arc.
C.The insulation inside the electrical appliance is bitten by mice and other animals, and other causes lead to wire damage and poor insulation.
Its features are as follows:
(1) automatic control and manual control;
(2) it has the functions of detecting and distinguishing dangerous ground arc fault, parallel arc fault and series arc fault;
(3) it has the function of driving the device which disconnects the current in time to avoid electrical fire;
(4) it can detect leakage, overcurrent, short circuit and over voltage.
(5) it has the function of fault memory, which is convenient for fault inquiry and analysis.
(6) it has the function of indicating lamp alarm
(7) it has multiple functions of rated current and voltage
(8) unipolar rated connection and breaking function
(9) it has the function of showing fault results
(10) free tripping function
(11) it has anti-rust, moisture-resistant and electric shock protective functions
Can detect the aging of the cable or contact joints produced easy to fire fault arc
Apply to the following three fire scenarios:
1. Insulation damage or aging: two charged conductors produce a resistive short circuit. Due to the weak fault current, the circuit breaker cannot be detected, and there is no leakage of current to the ground.
2. Poor connection or damaged conductor: fault arc increases local temperature, and part of current flows through insulation material, making the fault place talk (series arc detection)
3. Excessive pressure for a long time causes the electronic components in the load to overheat
