Arc Fault Circuit Interrupter(AFCI) or Arc Fault Detection Device(AFDD) is a new technology for circuit protection.
Its main function is to detect and distinguish the dangerous ground arc fault, parallel arc fault and series arc fault,
drive the device of current disconnection in time to avoid the occurrence of electrical fire. When an electrical fault occurs,
due to the low current intensity, which is lower than the over-current protection installation setting value widely installed
in the current system, especially in the low-voltage distribution field, the installation of a fault arc breaker at the distribution
line terminal can timely detect the arc and cut off the circuit, effectively reducing the loss caused by the arc.
The fault arc breaker is an intelligent circuit protector, an integrated design of MCB and RCB, which can detect and
identify the fault arc in the circuit and the arc in normal operation. To prevent fire hazard caused by faulty electric arc
due to poor contact and insulation in electrical circuit. It is a circuit protection device integrating fault arc protection,
overload protection, short circuit protection, surge suppression and leakage protection.

The fault arc breakers are mainly installed in the distribution box of the terminal distribution system, and can also
be installed in the control circuit units of home and office, all kinds of large supermarkets, department stores, hospitals,
airports, textile mills, warehouses, oil depots, oil refineries, entertainment places, hotels, oil pipelines and so on.
